PROFESSIONAL ARTIST
PROFESSOR OF LITERATURE AND WOMEN’S STUDIES

This Web site reflects the two different careers I have had. In the year 2000, I switched my focus from teaching and writing about literature and women’s studies to creating fine art.

My current career as a professional artist is presented first. Photographs of my paintings and drawings are arranged by the topics listed in the left margin. Your comments, questions, or purchase requests are welcome. I hope you will return to this site regularly to see my latest works.

From 1971 until 2000, I was a university professor of twentieth-century literature and women’s studies. I taught for seven years at Rutgers University, for one year at the University of Pittsburgh, and, finally, for thirty years at Old Dominion University. I plan to scan some of my published works onto this Web site. You may contact me for copies of the other articles. I hope teachers, students, and general readers will find my writings helpful.
